Ashley’s lifelong curiosity about the human experience grew out of her dedication to athletics and academics in high school. As an All-state track and basketball athlete, human performance was not only something she enjoyed but wanted to understand at both a quantum and macroscopic level. After finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan, she worked for Equinox, a global luxury fitness club, in Chicago for 8 years. Pursuing answers to her own health issues she sought out acupuncture and herbal medicine. This ignited a career change and a 5-year doctoral program for Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine in San Diego. She is currently studying for her licensing exam and looking forward to bringing acupuncture to the community as soon as possible!
Ashley’s favorite part of coaching is the nuance involved in finding training programs, lifestyles changes, and support systems that create environments for each client to thrive! After 15 years of coaching each day still brings a new test. She is relieved to be back home in the Upper Peninsula. For her, the Fresh Coast is truly the best coast!
