Doug has always been interested in learning and trying new modalities of fitness and loves challenging the body and mind in new ways. This passion is echoed in his holistic approach to personal training, always motivating and encouraging his clients of all ages and ability levels to try something new. “Consistency, planning, and proper rest are key pieces to any training program and are a must in order to reach your goals. It’s amazing what we are capable of if we give ourselves to chance to explore our personal limits.”


Doug is originally from Marquette, Michigan and is a graduate of Northern Michigan University with a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. 

Inside the gym, you will find Doug on the gymnastic rings, in a handstand, or swinging from the rafters. Outside of the gym you can find him out for a trail run or training for the next endurance event. In his free time, he enjoys pushing the boundaries through endurance sports including snowshoeing, running, and biking.
